On May 25, 2017, iForum conference was held in Kyiv, Ukraine. iForum is one of the biggest Ukrainian IT conferences with a nine-year history. This year the number of visitors exceeded 9,000 people. The event is not only a forum for Internet professionals but also a social movement created by a group of IT business professionals and volunteers. The forum is dedicated to development and opportunities of IT in Ukraine, covering the entire spectrum of related issues. iForum gathers all the Internet professionals of the country together in one place for a cup of coffee and inspirational talk. Edgica representatives visited this year event to take part in one of the most influential discussions within IT industry.
This year’s event has offered not only scheduled reports but also set the exhibition area, assured a variety of activities, as well as constant live chat for participants. The conference provided its attendees with seven major streams and covered the following topics: Future and Trends, Startups, Internet, Digital Promotion, iGov, Education, Blogs, Games, Cybersport, CRM, and other. Within the exhibition area, there were dozens of stands of IT startups and product companies. There were stands with drones, payment systems, Bitcoin, 3D printers, IoT products, Augmented & Virtual Reality devices and solutions, and other exciting products.
Information technology pioneer and businessman Oleksandr Olshanskiy opened the event within Introduction part of the conference. Oleksandr shared his vision on today’s situation within the IT industry in Ukraine, declaring that it is just the time and place to start new ventures.
The U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch inspired the audience with her welcome speech. She stated that “Ukraine is the top place in Europe to find talents.”
Indeed, deep technology expertise and entrepreneurial attitude of Ukrainian IT engineers assure the best option for IT outsourcing.
As always, there was no any paid report. The whole program was made by the Organizing Committee of the iForum, based on the relevance and usefulness of information for the event’s participants. Edgica representatives found Digital world trends, Artificial Intelligence, NLP and related solutions topics as one of the most important and exciting among the event.
Another favorite topic was about Future. Andrii Dligach shared his vision on the future opportunities and challenges with his “Future businesses of the future technologies” performance. Igor Novikov shared his vision of the influence of after-tomorrow trends on business and society in his presentation “The era of mass business extinctions – the basics of survival.”
